England - North York Moors to Scarborough

There are numerous old quarries left behind as a result of the important Alum and Ironstone industries that flourished in this area for many years. They have certainly left their mark on the landscape. I like that we can walk to the edge on the cliff walk and take responsibility for our own safety. In populated areas of Australia this would be fenced off!
